1. What this is, and who you are agreeing with
FormCourt is an iOS application that analyses tennis technique from video recorded on your own device and generates training suggestions. These terms cover the app and the formcourt.com website. By installing the app or using this site you accept them.
FormCourt is a trading name, not a company. Your agreement is with Avihai Hemo, an individual developer based in Israel, contactable at support@formcourt.com. A postal address for formal notices is available on request at that address.
2. Who may use it
You must be at least 13 years old to use FormCourt.
Some countries set the age of digital consent higher than 13 — up to 16 in parts of the EEA. If you are under that age where you live, or under the age at which you can enter a contract there, a parent or guardian has to agree to these terms on your behalf and consent to your use of the app.
If you film someone else, the rule in section 7 applies whatever their age: do not analyse a person who has not agreed to be filmed. For a child, that agreement is their parent's or guardian's to give.
3. A young app, and what that means for you
FormCourt is distributed through the Apple App Store. It is early software: it will contain defects, and features may change or be removed, so a result computed by any one version should not be treated as a stable record. Nothing about that makes a purchase a test — the app and its free tier cost nothing, but the subscriptions described in section 8 are live, are sold by Apple, and will charge you if you buy one.
4. This is not medical or professional advice
FormCourt produces automated estimates from a 2D camera. Its output is informational. It is not physiotherapy, not a diagnosis, and not a substitute for a qualified coach or clinician. The drills it suggests are general training guidance, not a prescription, and asking you which areas to protect is a filter on the catalogue — not an assessment of an injury. Training carries risk of injury; you are responsible for deciding what is safe for your body, and you should stop and seek advice if something hurts.
5. Accuracy
Measurements depend heavily on camera angle, framing and light. FormCourt labels values it can only estimate, excludes them from scores, and marks an analysis PARTIAL when too little was measurable. Grading bands are drawn from published biomechanical research, not from a trained model, and we make no warranty that any individual measurement is correct.
6. Your content
Video, pose data and results you create are yours. They stay on your device except for the numeric results you choose to sync by creating an account. We claim no licence to your video, because we never receive it.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use FormCourt to analyse people who have not agreed to be filmed, do not attempt to extract or redistribute the bundled models, and do not resell access to the service.
8. Subscriptions, renewal and refunds
Subscriptions are billed through Apple's In-App Purchase system: $12.99 a month or $79.99 a year, the annual plan including one free week. There is no lifetime purchase. A subscription renews automatically at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends, your Apple ID is charged at confirmation of purchase and again on each renewal, and you manage or cancel it entirely in your Apple ID settings — not here. Any free trial ends the moment a subscription is purchased, and unused trial time is forfeited. Prices are shown in your local App Store currency and may differ from the US prices quoted on this site. Refunds are handled by Apple under their policy; see the refunds and cancellation page. An introductory price, where one is offered, remains valid for as long as that subscription stays continuously active.
9. Your consumer rights
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law and cannot waive. If you are a consumer in the UK or the EEA, that includes your statutory rights about goods and digital content, and your right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days — a right which, for digital content delivered immediately, you may be asked to waive at the point of purchase. Purchases made through the App Store are subject to Apple's own terms, and Apple handles the transaction.
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or attempt to compromise it.
11. Warranties and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FormCourt is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement, and our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you have paid in the twelve months preceding a claim. We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded — and if you are a consumer in the UK or the EEA, the cap above applies only so far as your law allows it to.
12. Changes to these terms
These terms may change as the product does. The date at the top of this page changes with them, and material changes will be announced in the app, or by email to account holders, before they take effect. Continuing to use FormCourt after that is acceptance.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Israel, and the competent courts of Israel have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
That choice does not take away rights you have where you live. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence continues to apply to you whatever this section says, and you can bring a claim in your local courts where your law gives you that right.
14. Odds and ends
If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest stands. Not enforcing a term once does not waive it. These terms are the whole agreement between us about FormCourt. We may transfer them to a successor if the product changes hands; you may not transfer them. Notices to you may be sent to the email address on your account or shown in the app; notices to us go to the address below.
15. Third-party components
FormCourt ships open-source components, listed with their licences in the app under Settings → About → Acknowledgements. This website sets its text in IBM Plex Mono, © 2017 IBM Corp., used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. Product names mentioned on this site belong to their respective owners, and naming one is not a claim of affiliation or endorsement.
