Write to support@formcourt.com. One person reads it, and you will get a reply. If it is about a specific stroke, say roughly when you filmed it — the analysis stays on your phone, so we cannot look it up.
"No serve detected", or a score that looks wrong
Almost every bad read is the camera, not the swing. Six things matter, and the app lists them under Camera setup before your first upload:
- Film from the side — square to the baseline, level with where you hit. Elbow, knee and swing-path angles are only true from that view, and filming from behind also hides the racquet and the ball: measured across our own test clips, a behind view sees the racquet in about half as many frames and the ball in roughly a third as many. Eight of the measurements need to see one or the other, so the breakdown comes back thinner.
- Phone at hip height — not chest, not on the ground. A bench, a bag or a fence mount beats handheld.
- Three to four metres back — far enough for the whole body and the racquet at full reach. On a serve, contact is the tallest point in the clip.
- Head to feet, the whole time — feet stay in frame through the landing, one player in the frame, no cropping.
- Portrait, 60 fps if your phone offers it. Slow-motion exports are not supported yet.
- Daylight, sun behind the camera — backlight turns you into a silhouette and the pose tracker loses your arms.
A stroke the camera could only half see is marked Partial. You still get the score and the full breakdown, and it is still saved — it is just left out of trends, deltas, personal bests and badges, so a half-seen swing never moves your progress.
Where your video goes
Nowhere. The analysis runs on your phone, and the clip and the pose data are never uploaded, with or without an account. If you sign in, your scores are backed up so they survive a new phone — the video is not part of that. The privacy policy says exactly what is and is not transmitted.
Accounts
You do not need one. Sign in with Apple, Google or an email link only if you want your scores backed up. Apple and Google sign-in land on the same account when they share an email address.
To erase everything on the phone: Settings → Clear this phone. That deletes the saved clips, the covers, the pose tracks and the store, and signs you out.
To delete your account and the backup with it: Settings → Sign in & backup → Delete account. That removes the server rows as well as the local data, and it cannot be undone.
Subscriptions
Billing, cancellation, free trials and refunds are all on the refunds and cancellation page. Apple is the seller, so cancellations and refunds go through Apple — that page has the exact steps. If a purchase did not unlock, or a restore failed, mail us and we will fix it.
What FormCourt is not
It gives technique feedback, not medical advice. If something hurts, stop, and see a physio or a doctor. The drills carry the same warning where the risk is.
